Review of film: “TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN” -- Vengeance can sometimes be very LOUD!

Review of film:  TRANSFORMERS:  REVENGE OF THE FALLEN --

Vengeance can sometimes be very LOUD!  =

Rating:  7.5 of 10 stars (as seen in the IMAX format:)

If you like action in your movies, you’ll probably very much enjoy this. If you’re looking for “Logic” or “Restrained” acting, you’ll be OUT OF LUCK here…

SHIA LaBEOUF reprises his role as Sam Witwicky, with MEGAN FOX as his (pretty excuse-for-a) girlfriend (who mainly seems to be along as a “companion”). The roles of his parents are pretty superfluous, the way they’re scripted…

RAMON RODRIGUEZ plays his new college roommate Leo. As time goes on, it gets somewhat TIRING that the parents, Leo, JOHN TURTURRO as Agent Simmons, & JOSH DUHAMEL as Major Lennox, are almost always in a “HYPER” mode…

The Transformer robots are the usual FINELY-done ILM special effects, and there are far more of them in this sequel than in the original. You’ll find a good deal of HUMOR in the patter between the characters…

The furor over the “Hip-Hop” type of talking between two Autobots is way overdone (as is the frantic pacing of the film).  But, overall, it’s a FUN “popcorn” flick, & you shouldn’t expect any more out of it than that.
