How’d You Like a PHOTO of YOU & a favorite FILM STAR?!
On 9-30-09, I attended a private convention called the “MOTIVATION SHOW”, designed for people / companies who buy & distribute items (such as gifts) & services to thank (& reward) customers, employees, friends & associates. At the show were two theater companies involved with showing MOVIES to the public-- AMC & REGAL…
… I was especially impressed with a clever advertising ploy utilized by AMC: they are considering the possible TEST-marketing of a kiosk / booth in certain theaters that would utilize a smart program designed by LVPhotoParty[.com] wherein they use a “green-screen” to shoot live PHOTOS of people & digitally INSERT them into previously-scanned photos of MOVIE venues & STARS, so it looks like you’re there “WITH” the stars & all…
… Let me explain further: At the convention, you could see samples of various wonderfully-done CREATIVE artwork from an illustrator who owns dreamphotos.biz, designed for use in taking specialized photos of KIDS (at schools, etc.) & using “green-screens” to juxtapose them “into” the creative artwork, using a special computer program that’s even more expensive than Photoshop…
… Thus, you could see samples of a “surfer” kid who’d been very effectively inserted “into” the mouth of a “JAWS”-like Great White Shark [ = see my photos below: 00-a of the screen-manipulation & 00-b of a close-up of the final result]…
… And, you could see a photo of a a kid who plays the “HEARS No Evil” character “inserted” into a picture recalling the famous ones done with monkeys [= my photo # 00-c]…
... And a boy “riding” a BULL in a rodeo [= my 00-d]…
... And a boy “riding” a BULL in a rodeo [= my 00-d]…
… Or a kid as the “Mad Hatter” in a fine “ALICE IN WONDERLAND” drawing [= my photo 00-e]…
… This basic “insertion” concept was then used by the illustrator (Steve or Mark from LV) to create special FILM-related photos using the AMC logo on the front of the photo, with a back sheet saying, “AMC Theaters / I got this at BOOTH # 3518 / To order AMC Gift Cards and Discount Tickets go to: HYPERLINK http://www.amcnationalsales.com ”…
… The gentlemen previously mentioned took LIVE “green-screen” photos of myself & others, manipulated the “positioning” & size & coloration of the live people, & “combined” that with the previously-scanned movie-related scenes they already had on the computer.
… Thus, you had results like this: the “live” guy JC (in a fedora hat) walking a “RED CARPET” from a limousine to an AMC theater where “paparazzi” shoot photos of the “live” guy [ = my photo 00-g of the computer screen & 00-h of the “finished” cropped photo]…
… Of a “live” guy with MEGAN FOX in a “TRANSFORMERS” scene [ = my photo # 01-b of the “working” screen, & # 02 of ED B. in a “cropped” version of that image]…
… Of “live” JC with gun-toting DANIEL CRAIG in a scene from “CASINO ROYALE” [ = my photo # 08-b ]…
... And “live” JC with ROBERT PATTINSON as seen in “TWILIGHT” [ = my photo # 09-b below]…
... And “live” JC with ROBERT PATTINSON as seen in “TWILIGHT” [ = my photo # 09-b below]…
… Plans have already been developed for how the “booth” would look & work in a planned “TEST” at various theaters (which would allow the “combined” live + film photos to be PRINTED OUT for sale to people at the time the photos are taken)…
… I offered my thought that it seemed like a MARVELOUS idea, since they were exceptionally well-done & “real”-looking, & would be offered right where people have a clear INTEREST in the basic subject matter (of films & stars)…
… Negotiations are still ongoing as to just WHAT theater chain (or chains) would be doing the test-marketing of the impressive & well-done concept… You heard it “first” here!…
