Disney did a really fine job in gathering together a bunch of very enthusiastic, talented people to appear (& choreograph & direct) this latest installment in the series...

...  ZAC EFRON as Troy (who’s unsure if he wants to pursue sports or theater in his life); VANESSA HUDGENS as (his independent love interest) Gabriella; & LUCAS GRABEEL as school production choreographer Ryan...

...  Also:  ASHLEY TISDALE as self-centered conniver Sharpay; CORBIN BLEU as Troy’s friend & basketball buddy; and others such as newcomers MATT PROKOP (as nutty basketball player Jimmie "Rocket" Zara) & JEMMA McKENZIE-BROWN as Tiara (both of whom are reputedly set to star in the # 4 Sequel)…
Some dialogue & action may be somewhat weak or cheesy at times, but everyone seems to be having so much FUN (especially in the numerous cleverly-choreographed musical numbers such as in a car junkyard, the Senior Year pageant, etc.) that it’s best to sit back & ENJOY the super bright colors (& likely bright future careers of its stars).
