Review of film: “JURASSIC PARK III”

2001, 07-22:

Review of film:  JURASSIC PARK III

Speaking about love & hate, that seems to be, a critical element of  the film "JURASSIC PARK III”:  the love of their son brings together 2 divorced parents (BILL MACY & TEA LEONI) to enlist the aid of one of the original “Park” explorers (SAM NEILL) to find their son who’s missing on one of the “new" dinosaur-“encrusted” islands...

...  Typically, there's a slew of evil men (who soon know the "Jaws of Reptilian REPENTANCE"), the misguided assistant (played by ALLESANDRO NIVOLA) who foolishly picks up some Raptor eggs  as they journey around the island, & much ado about Lizard Avoidance techniques...

...  If you love state-of-the-art  special effects or effectively-done action films, you should LOVE this Paean to Ancient Animals...

...   The overall story has been "done before" (as clearly indicated by the “III” titling), but it’s seldom been done BETTER...

...  And you DON’T have to suffer thru the [maddeningly] “detached” acting of Jeff Goldblurn, who is thankfully NOT in this 7.5 star [of 10] version of the series...
